Description
A creamy and cheesy buffalo chicken dip that combines the spicy flavors of buffalo wings with rich cheeses, perfect for gatherings and game days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (boiled and shredded)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
- 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded, divided)
- 1.5 cups cheddar cheese (shredded, divided)
Instructions
- Cook the chicken by boiling it in a large pot of water for approximately 25 minutes. Remove the chicken and let it cool before shredding.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium saucepot over medium-low heat, whisk together cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Add shredded chicken, green onion, 1 cup of mozzarella, and 1 cup of cheddar to the sauce mixture and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and top with remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes until cheese is melted and sides are bubbling. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips or vegetables.
Notes
For a creamier dip, add 4 ounces more cream cheese. Serve with various toppings or make a vegetarian version using shredded cauliflower.
