Description

A delightful blend of tart cranberries and zesty oranges, perfect for breakfast and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cranberries, sugar, fresh orange juice, orange zest, and the optional cinnamon stick.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce it to a simmer. Stir occasionally until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens, about 15–20 minutes.
  3. Use a potato masher or spoon to mash the cranberries into your desired consistency. Simmer for another 5–10 minutes until it thickens further.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Transfer the jam to a clean jar. Cool completely before storing in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

Notes

For a smoother texture, blend the jam after cooking. If less sweetness is desired, reduce sugar to taste.
