Description
Delicious taquitos filled with crab, shrimp, and cheese, offering a satisfying crunch and creamy interior.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Cooked shrimp (finely chopped)
- 1 cup Cooked crab meat (shredded)
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese (shredded)
- 4 oz Cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup Queso dip (mild or spicy)
- 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro (chopped)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 8 small Flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup Butter or oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped shrimp, shredded crab meat, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, softened cream cheese, queso dip, chopped cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Take a flour tortilla and add about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling to the center. Roll the tortilla tightly around the mixture and secure it with a toothpick if needed.
- In a large skillet, heat butter or oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the rolled taquitos seam-side down into the skillet.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite salsa or dipping sauce and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, consider adding jalapeños or diced red bell peppers to the filling mixture. You can also bake instead of fry for a healthier option.
