- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 3 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (or 1 tablespoon dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef or sausage over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, half of the meat, and a third of the mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with noodles and marinara sauce on top.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
