A healthy twist on a classic side dish, these Golden Air Fryer Fries are crispy, golden, and packed with flavor from seasonings like garlic powder and smoked paprika.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large Russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- Optional grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Wash and optionally peel the potatoes. Slice them into uniform 1/4-inch sticks.
- Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the potatoes completely dry using a towel.
- Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Arrange fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
- Remove the fries once golden and crisp. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan, if using. Serve hot with your favorite dip.
Notes
Ensure fries are completely dry before frying for maximum crispiness. Experiment with different seasonings to customize flavors.
