Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 cup uncooked macaroni
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and garlic; cook until the onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, uncooked macaroni, beef broth, oregano, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and sprinkle cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider substituting different types of cheese or adding vegetables such as bell peppers.
