Ingredients

  • 1 whole wheat pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, low-fat
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1/4 cup red onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza crust on a floured surface until it’s your desired thickness.
  3. Place the crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the crust, making sure to cover all edges.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  6. Artfully add the sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, and red onion on top of the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle oregano over the top and drizzle a little olive oil for extra flavor.
  8. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven, slice into pieces, and serve hot.

Notes
