- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

- 1 loaf Baguette (or gluten-free bread)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 8 ounces Goat Cheese (or cream cheese)
- 1/4 cup Honey (or Maple Syrup)
- Fresh Herbs (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, combine bacon, brown sugar, water, black pepper, cayenne, and red pepper flakes. Cook over medium heat until crispy, turning occasionally.
- Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush each slice with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden and crispy.
- Remove bacon from skillet and let cool on paper towels to drain grease.
- Spread goat cheese on each baguette slice.
- Cut bacon into smaller pieces and place on crostinis.
- Drizzle with honey or maple syrup, garnish with herbs or nuts if desired.
- Serve immediately.
