Description

A beloved classic banana bread that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with crunchy walnuts and chewy raisins.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas until well combined.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. Incorporate the flour, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the walnuts and raisins gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
