- 3 large bananas (or 4 small bananas)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F, grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan, and set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and whisk until fully combined.
- Incorporate the sugar, then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk again until mixed well.
- Add the dry ingredients: Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Fold everything together until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the pre-greased loaf pan.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes before transferring to cool completely.
Notes
This bread is perfect for using overripe bananas. Serve warm with butter or cream cheese.
