- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until crumbly. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven until lightly golden.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly bubbly.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
