Description

Delightful pecan pie bars combining rich, nutty flavors with a buttery base, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in the flour and salt until crumbly. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven until lightly golden.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans. Mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
  7. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
