- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Strawberry jam
- Buttercream frosting (optional for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add in the flour, mixing until combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread a layer of strawberry jam on one cookie and top with another to sandwich them together.
- Add buttercream frosting on top if desired for extra decoration.
