Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (17.25 ounces) puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 8 ounces brie cheese, chilled and cut into small chunks
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
- A drizzle of honey (optional)
- All-purpose flour for dusting the surface
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin with non-stick spray or a little butter.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets. Use a knife or a pizza cutter to cut the pastry into 24 even squares.
- Press each pastry square gently into the holes of the mini muffin tin to create a small cup.
- Place a small cube of brie cheese into the center of each pastry cup. Ensure the cheese fits snugly inside.
- Add about one teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of each piece of brie.
- If you are using nuts, sprinkle a few chopped pecans or walnuts over the cranberry sauce for extra crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the pastry edges are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Remove the tin from the oven and let the bites cool for about 5 minutes. This allows the cheese to set slightly so they are easier to remove.
- Garnish with a small piece of fresh rosemary for a festive look and a pop of herbal aroma.
- Serve warm on a platter and enjoy the compliments!
- Cook Time: 27 minutes
