Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Place the chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt into the bottom of your crockpot.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream and whisk gently to combine the cocoa powder so it doesn’t clump.
- Add the whole milk and vanilla extract, then stir well with a large spoon.
- Cover the crockpot with its lid and set the temperature to “Low.”
- Cook for 2 hours, stirring every 30 to 45 minutes to ensure the chocolate chips melt smoothly and don’t stick to the bottom.
- Once the chocolate is fully melted and the liquid is hot, give it one final whisk for a frothy finish.
- Turn the crockpot to the “Warm” setting and serve.
- Cook Time: 2 hours
