Description

A rich and hearty lasagna layered with pasta, marinara sauce, and creamy cheese.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles topped with remaining marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
