Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) green beans, drained well
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions (divided)
- 1/4 cup cooked halal beef bacon bits (optional, for extra savory flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth.
- Add the drained green beans and about 2/3 cup of the crispy fried onions to the bowl. Stir gently until the beans are fully coated in the sauce.
- Pour the mixture into a 1.5-quart baking dish and spread it out evenly with a spoon.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling around the edges.
- Remove the dish from the oven. Stir the mixture gently if you prefer, then sprinkle the remaining crispy fried onions and the halal beef bacon bits over the top.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown and crunchy.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Cook Time: 35 minutes
