Description

Tender meatballs bathed in rich onion gravy, bringing comfort food to a whole new level.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup onion gravy
  • Mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  2. Cook the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth and onion gravy. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the gravy for an additional 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.

Notes

For a thicker gravy, allow it to simmer longer until it reduces to your liking. Don’t forget to sprinkle some fresh parsley on top before serving.
