Pasta
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni Cook according to package instructions and drain.
Cheese Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melt in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour Whisk in with the melted butter.
  • 2 cups milk Gradually add while whisking.
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese Stir into the sauce until melted.
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese Add into the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Add into the cheese sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Add into the cheese sauce.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to preference.
Topping
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs Combine with Parmesan cheese.
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese For sprinkling on top.
Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup cooked langostino lobster meat Fold into the mac and cheese.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add milk, whisking to prevent lumps.
  5. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
  6. Stir in cheddar cheese, Gruyère cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until melted.
  7. Fold in the cooked macaroni and langostino lobster.
Baking
  1. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  2. Combine bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over the top.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For a spicy version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce. For a vegetarian option, omit the lobster and add sautéed mushrooms or roasted butternut squash. Truffle oil can add a gourmet touch.
