  • 200 g halloumi cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes Ensure halloumi is fresh for best texture.
  • 150 g feta cheese, cut into small cubes You can use creamy or crumbly feta based on preference.
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil, for frying Ensure oil is hot enough before frying.
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional) Add for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Hot Honey Cranberry Dip Ingredients
  • ½ cup cranberries (fresh or frozen) Fresh cranberries preferred.
  • 3 tbsp honey Can substitute with maple syrup for vegan option.
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste) Reduce for a milder dip.
  • 1 tbsp water
  • ½ tsp orange zest (optional) For added citrus flavor.
Garnish
  • Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
  • Optional sesame seeds or crushed pistachios

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and warm the olive oil.
  2. Fry halloumi and feta cubes for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  3. Sprinkle smoked paprika and black pepper while cooking.
  4. Remove the cheese bites and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
Hot Honey Cranberry Dip
  1. Combine cranberries, honey, water, chili flakes, and orange zest in a small saucepan.
  2. Simmer over low heat for 4–5 minutes until cranberries soften and the mixture is glossy.
Serving
  1. Serve the crispy cheese bites with the hot honey cranberry dip.
  2. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and optional sesame seeds or pistachios.

Notes

These bites are best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. Reheat in a skillet over low heat to restore crispiness.
