Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract Can be omitted or replaced with more vanilla extract.
Decoration
  • Pink sprinkles Use to decorate the cookies.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Baking
  1. Roll dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten each ball slightly and sprinkle pink sprinkles on top.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  4. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. They will stay good for about a week. You can freeze the cookies for up to three months in a freezer-safe container.
