Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Mix until well combined and the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top of the batter.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Serving
- Dust the top with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream if desired.
Notes
This cake is fantastic when served warm. For an extra treat, add a dollop of whipped cream on top or serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Dusting it with powdered sugar adds a beautiful touch as well. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or frozen for 2-3 months.
