Preparation and Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in ground beef, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked.
Making the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and salt until smooth.
Serving
- Warm pita breads slightly.
- Fill each pita with cooked beef, tomatoes, cucumber, and parsley.
- Drizzle generously with lemon garlic yogurt sauce and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and separate the filling from the pita for best texture upon reheating.
