  • 1 lb ground beef (450 g)
  • 6 slices crispy bacon
  • 1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100 g)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (150 g)
  • ½ cup diced onions (75 g)
  • 2 large eggs
Seasonings
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Drain excess grease, leaving a bit for flavor.
  4. Add diced onions and cook until they soften and become translucent.
  5. Stir in diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes until the aroma fills your kitchen.
Assembly
  1. Transfer the filling into a greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream and eggs until well combined.
  3. Pour the cream mixture over the beef and onion filling.
  4. Sprinkle crumbled bacon evenly across the top.
  5. Add shredded cheddar cheese generously over the casserole.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

Serve hot from the oven on its own or with a side salad. It makes a great dish for family meals, potlucks, or any gathering. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days and are easy to reheat.
