Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked You can use leftover salmon or canned salmon.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use plain or seasoned breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and black pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, red onion, parsley, and dill.
  2. Add the egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix gently until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into small patties, about 2–3 inches wide.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. Serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili flakes. Use fresh herbs for the best flavor, and feel free to customize the sizes of the patties based on your occasion.
