  • 1 lb Lil’ Smokies Use halal beef or turkey sausages.
  • 1 oz ranch dressing mix Adjust quantity to taste preference.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted for mixing.
  • 6–8 pepperoncini peppers Adjust amount according to spice preference.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Add more for sweetness if desired.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Select your favorite halal beef or turkey sausages.
  2. Cut each sausage link into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Gather your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
Mixing the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine ranch dressing mix, brown sugar, unsalted butter, garlic powder, and diced pepperoncini peppers. Mix until well blended.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet or slow cooker, add the cut sausages and pour the sauce over them.
  2. If using a skillet, heat over medium and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 4-6 hours.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the flavors with more sugar or spices as needed.
  4. For a thicker consistency, let the sauce simmer uncovered for a few minutes.
Serving
  1. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the sausages to a serving platter.
  2. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve with toothpicks.

Notes

Store any leftover Mississippi Little Smokies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, simply warm them up in the microwave or on the stovetop. For extra flavor, add some hot sauce to your sauce mixture. You can also experiment with different types of sausages or peppers.
