  • 1 cup peanut butter Choose your preferred type of peanut butter.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt To enhance flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Mix in the rolled oats until evenly coated.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper.
  5. Let them set until firm, about 30 minutes.

Notes

These cookies are best served at room temperature. You can enjoy them as a snack any time of day or pair them with a glass of milk. They can be kept at room temperature for a few days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months, separated with wax paper.
