Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until combined.
- Fold in the sliced almonds, white chocolate chips, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use star-shaped cookie cutters to cut out cookies and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before serving or gifting.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Chill dough for 30 minutes for crispier cookies.
