Preparation
- Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the lobster and add a generous amount of salt.
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Carefully add the lobster to the boiling water, cover the pot, and reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cooking
- Steam the lobster for about 8-10 minutes or until the shell turns bright red and the meat is opaque.
- Remove the lobster and serve immediately with melted butter and lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
If you have leftover lobster, store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days in an airtight container. For longer storage, freeze the meat for up to 3 months.
